While much of our work may be considered destination photography, a more apt term for the experience we strive to bring our clients is immersion photography... both within the setting and within the self. Creating a space in which clients can reconnect to nature and themselves imbues the art with a transformative quality. Engaging with our clients in a process of visual self expression and exploration helps produce exceptional images that rekindle emergence on subsequent viewings. These images serve both as stunning displays in their own right, and as a reconnection for the emergence of joyous emotions from that moment in time. Elopement photography, to us, begins with our love of the outdoors, for each other, and our ability to thrive in remote locations while producing iconic and sophisticated photographic works. We have a special yearn to photograph people in nature: Natural images that show the relationship between those in frame and the environment they exist within. Our style of on-location Elopement Photography produces images that are so much more than simply people in front of a backdrop! We produce images that tell stories of love, of grace, togetherness and belonging. Many of our clients remark after viewing their images that we have captured their mood and feelings, reminding them of the full hearts and lightness in being that they experienced while working with us. We strive to capture the essence of being in love, the bond you share and the joy you feel when you are together.

We prefer to shoot Elopement Portraits rather than simply documenting your vows. Our goal and focus is to provide truly epic once-in-a-lifetime images, images you simply cannot get with a 'by the hour' photographer. We are familiar with many wedding photographers and can recommend some who are outstanding at their craft if that is your need. We, however, are at our best after your wedding, when nerves have quieted, and you've had a chance to breathe. We can (and have!) photographed small elopements if that is your vision, but remember to save time after the vows themselves, time just for the two of you. Time for those epic images you both will love forever! Join us in far-off locations with epic scenery - embark on your grand adventure together with grand images! We suggest this because our own travels are filled with out of the way experiences and those are the places our thoughts so often return to - where our memories are still full of laughter and love. We are well accustomed to truck camping, rough roads and being far from cell service. The exploration of remote corners of the landscape, and the intimate knowledge gained from feeling each new place, is akin to wanderlust for us but much more relaxed and involved. During our own travels we seek to learn the feel of, the rhythm of, the truth of a place. This leads to a deeper understanding of each place we visit and often return to - to experience the magic each different spot has to offer. We tread lightly, leaving no trace in the lands we frequent. So much so we are often gifted with the songs of the wild, the soft mews of cow elk speaking to their young and the bugling of the bulls echoing through the trees. Boudoir photography, in our hands, is an expression of the essential being, the beauty of form and light: stories told in private and written by the grace of curved lines.
Artful and respectful - never tawdry - always enlivening.

We feature the Intimate while avoiding the Explicit.

What started as something sexy and playful in conjunction with elopements grew into an integral part of what we offer. Concepts range from playful Boudoir / Pinup to bold and empowering Art Nude depending on the client's wishes.

*We do not shoot beyond Art Nude.*

We are comfortable with nudity and believe it's only a problem if someone *makes* it a problem. Many of our clients have remarked at how natural their boudoir photoshoot was, how the time seemed to fly by!

Boudoir Photography refers to a wide range of genres, depending on the viewers' interpretation. We use the term 'Boudoir' to speak of any photography which is intentionally intimate, or will most likely NOT be suitable for public display, but rather kept private. Boudoir, Art Nude, Implied... what ever you want to call it: It's gone main-stream in the last 20 years or so. If you're interested but on the fence about intimate photos, call us for a comfortable and frank discussion on the topic. We're quite approachable and understanding, and we handle all client interactions with the utmost discretion. All editing of images is accomplished in-house, by us, and review of your images can be handled via our private server, or in-person according to your wishes. We can even handle printing up to 11x17 in house as well! While we do contract out to a very select and proven print shop for lay-flat books and larger prints you can rest assured your images are secure.

Portrait photography, with us, is a joyful experience. We want to capture you at your best, to craft images that are both a genuine representation of who you are at that time, while also ensuring the image shows the BEST you - the you that your friends and family know and love!
We are fully adept in the use of Photoshop but prefer to edit gently, to enhance rather than transform. We take care to retain any identifying features such as dimples or birth marks, features our brains often filter out but the camera retains, those features that make you look like... well, YOU!

Your vision of your portrait is what we are dedicated to produce. And we have decades of experience doing exactly that! From simple 'in the park' photos to mountain top adventures, we have you covered. Our portable studio-quality lighting makes for outstanding and captivating images that include the feels of being there. Why is our work different from typical portraits? There are 2 primary reasons...
First, our Portraiture is lit to match the unique features of each subject's face in the best possible way while keeping a natural feel about the image. It's easier said than done! We take extra care to create a "box of light" within which clients can move and emote without compromising the quality of our lighting arrangement. This is particularly important with couples where faces are often turned towards each other as if in conversation, so the light has to be flexible enough to ensure proper, consistent and meaningful illumination of both faces while artfully shaping their unique features.
Second, careful attention to the out of focus area of an image is paramount to success in portraiture. We have the lenses, lighting equipment and skills to craft an image where the viewer's eyes are drawn to the most important elements of that picture, and keep the viewer engaged longer than with standard "flat" lighting. With that said, sometimes that lighting made famous by youtube and tictok where an LED Ring-Light blasts the subject straight-on *does have it's purpose* but that's usually NOT portraiture. We can do it all, depending on need, but our images are set apart from others' by our artful lighting and crafting of out of focus areas.

Individual and Couples Portraiture:
- We leverage advanced posing techniques to produce an image that doesn't *look* posed.
- We employ a wide range of creative lighting techniques to highlight different "moods" within a couple's relationship, from intimate and loving to unified and unbreakable, to light hearted and easy.
- We provide "Consistency of Look" for triptics, books and albums. Our printing skills help maintain consistent quality across all output forms whether in lay-flat coffee table books, or framed/mounted art on the wall, or even triptic panels as a centerpiece of a larger display.

Business Headshots:
- Businesses often have a particular "look" required for their target demographic, and typically need to work across multiple platforms. We keep your look consistent across platforms from print to social media, and create images that seamlessly dovetail with your branding efforts.
- We are able to create different artistic "looks" for different groups within business units.
- We are often called upon for the duplication of a "branded look" consistent with prior photos on the corporate website that cannot be re-shot.

Other Headshot needs:
We also produce a wide range of headshot images to meet our clients' needs. Headshots, as with every other type we shoot, are done as Art Portraiture. Yes, we cost a bit more than some others, but we feel the extra care is worth every penny.
- Authors, actors, singers, musicians and other performers need up-to-date headshots to show their current look! We produce eye-catching, affordable and true to life images that distinguish you from your competition.
- Headshots for dating sites are also a common request. We show the real you, but the best you possible so when you finally meet that person on the other side of the keyboard, they already feel you are familiar - that bit of ice is already broken. This also removes the potential for disappointment on that important first date!
